A handsome Louis XVI period armchair with a flat back in carved natural wood. The back is shaped in a gendarme’s hat with foliate pinnacles and rosettes, tapered legs with fluted and reeded details. In need of new upholstery, webbing and cushion. France, circa 1780, later reinforcing.
